I upgraded to windows 11 in March, and since then, I keep getting the same err_timed_out issue everytime I try to access a website on my browser. The o ly time I don't get is if I'm accessing YouTube.
I've tried everything, but it's still not working. I have to spend at least ten minutes refreshing the page until it finally loads. Is there a way to fix this?
Hi Mara, my name is Neil and I'm a Windows 11 user like you.
Sorry you're receiving these errors with your browser.
Can I ask, what browser are you using?
Can you see if you get the same error when browsing in Incognito Mode or InPrivate Mode?
If you do, please also try disabling any browser extensions you may have.
Many thanks and kindest regards,
Hi Mara,
Does it work in Incognito mode? To try this, click the 3 vertical dots in the top right corner of the Chrome window and then click on "New Incognito window". Then try visiting some websites and see if you can load them OK.
Also, after clicking the 3 dots, go to More Tools > Extensions
Turn all of the Extensions OFF and then try some websites.
Let me know how you get on.
Kindest regards,
Hi Mara,
Can you try the following and see if this works.
Close ALL browser windows you may have open.
Click search on your taskbar and type: COMMAND PROMPT
Click on "Command Prompt" (App) in the results.
In Command Prompt, type (or Copy and Paste) the following and press Enter on your keyboard:
ipconfig /flushdns
If the command was successful, you will see the message, "DNS Resolver Cache Successfully Flushed."
Close Command Prompt.
Open your browser and see if web pages now load for you.
Let me know how you get on.
Kindest regards,
