Could we please add more social networks to the Tech Community profile settings? Some interesting ideas:  - Mastodon  - Medium  - Google News  - Microsoft Learn ID  - Huggingface  - WhatsApp for Business  - etc. ... View more Or alternatively, after 7 days the label should be visible ->[ Still the author has not marked Best Answer,] this should definitely organize and improve the understanding of topics in MTC. Do you think that's a good idea?  After 7 days (MTC insider group) would have the right to mark the post with the best response. You can also add the -> achievement You have correctly marked ( best answer ) as a badge! Re: Change in my tagging from super contributor to Regular contributor - Microsoft Community Hub ... View more The inspiration for this idea came from the Community Manager's response:   "  We report to our product teams regularly on posts that are still awaiting replies, there is no 'flagging' of these posts available to users. We are still trying to get our 'Community insider' initative off the ground which may give the opportunity for a select group of key influencers an opportunity to flag discussions that are needing a reply but until then feel free to flag any pressing topics in the community discussion area.   "                                                                                                                                                    as often confirmed responses by users are missing, or from the Microsoft team – the MTC Community Insider Group -> could mark responses as a solution, or add responses as MTC Insider. Of course, this requires more careful thought and ideas on this topic! I am asking for opinions and support of my idea. ... View more Microsoft Tech Community comes with valuable resources and I believe contents of this community should be fully integrate with new Bing Chat feature. The idea could start with sharing contents and questions and answers. And could expand on more features like search for Community Users and so on. ... View more I noticed automatic email notifications are being sent from khoros-mail.com domain. It is expected because I believe this community is build on top of khoros platform. However, I would like recommend to have a better privacy and trust , create a mechanism so notification emails would send directly from microsoft.com domain. It would be easier for spam management and also it is more reliable. ... View more Hello everyone! ( Do you want to have an official answer confirmed by Microsoft?) I participate in discussions in which, there is a lack of explanations and answers from Microsoft employees, -> this causes frustration and negative comments that should receive a competent response (preferably as a Blog), which refers to the indicated problem -> regarding the Microsoft product.  Please support this idea! :) ... View more Modern web UI is nice, but at the end of the day when it comes to mobile, apps are still king. If the purpose of this is to replace the interaction we had on Yammer, a mobile app is a necessity.  Ease of use is critical, and navigating via browser does not give the features and interactivity that the Yammer app does. App specific notifications for replies, quickly navigating to favorite topics/groups.  Just because it can be used in a mobile browser doesnt mean it should. I see lack of a mobile app as a real barrier to winning user adoption and getting the most participation possible based on the proven success of Yammer Office 365 Network. ... View more Windows Insider MVP also consider as MVP and they are active in this forum. You have Windows 10 forum and Windows Insider MVP are answering questions and contribute in the community. I would like request to please add MVP badge for Windows Insider MVP or at least add separate badge for Windows Insider MVP, so community would recognize us. ... View more Hi, Under the umbrella of the Kubernetes development there is a project called Kops for the provisioning of a Kubernetes cluster on multiple cloud with the aim of standardize the Kubernetes operations.   At the moment Azure is not really supported in Kops (alpha and limited support) and to deploy an unmanaged cluster one must use AKS-Engine, which caused not a few problems in the recent past.   It would be nice to speed up the development of Kops - Azure in order to use the same operations tool to deploy on all the major cloud providers. Having the same tool will save a lot of DevOps's time. ... View more I don't feel comfortable sharing my real name. on Xbox we have the option to show or not show our real name, on lots of communities we can use usernames or nicknames instead of real name, but in Microsoft Tech community, both our username/nickname And real name is displayed. this really needs to change. add an option to show/hide real name to profile settings: https://techcommunity.microsoft.com/t5/user/myprofilepage/tab/user-preferences:privacy ... View more Hi,   Achievement is a fun way to show you are active in the forum and did something. It would be nice if you could add Achievement badge for those who reported spam posts and they consider as spam and has been blocked. It could be like when a user reports a number of correct spam (they verified as spam and removed), then they receive this achievement. It is not about number of reports but rather number of correct reports. This will motivate other users to report spams and help community to become smarter. ... View more Hi,   This forum is fully managed by Microsoft Employees and sometimes response to moderator requests are time consuming. In other forums like Microsoft Answers or Microsoft Q&A, they have a program called Volunteer Moderator program where they get help from active community users to do a moderation. I believe to speed up the moderation for this forum, it is good idea to create such a program. Normally , those who have posted several questions and received marked as answer or like and have been active in forum, we be invited to program, I recommend the program should be as follow:   1) before granting the Volunteer Moderator status, you should provide them with a training and teach them how to do it.   2) You may monitor Volunteer Moderators and guide them and advise them on how to be a good moderator and evaluate them to decide if they will continue to be a moderator or not like three months observation (while having permission).   3) Volunteer moderators would be able to perform the following tasks: Remove a post Edit a post for CoC Move a post to correct category Monitor and take action on posts reported a abuse ... View more Hi,   Since Microsoft announced the Windows 11, we are observing questions regarding the the Windows 11 in the Windows forum and there is no sub-category for the Windows 11 yet. I believe there is a need for a sub-category of Windows 11 inside the Windows forum.  I believe this is in the roadmap but since it is important, I though to share it here. ... View more Hi,   It would be nice if you could release a Beta version of Microsoft Technical Community and those who are interested, they might join the Beta by select a checkbox in their profile and doing so would load the Microsoft Tech Community website in beta and it would have upcoming features and we could test them out and report possible bug or errors before releasing it to the public. Users would be able to visit their profile and uncheck the join beta to remove from the beta program and page will refresh and show the stable release. ... View more With changing working practices we book desks at different locations during the week and/or are based at home.  Our calendars then show everyone where we are.  Even if we put those times down as "Free", the appointments take the appearance of a meeting taking up real estate in the calendar .   Instead of booking the appointment as  "Free" it would be good to book the time as "Location Only" and this appointment then just shades the background of the calendar (as a separate layer to other appointments) rather than appearing as an appointment that gets in the way of real meetings.     This would be a MASSIVE improvement in the calendar. ... Welcome to the Microsoft Tech Community Ideas Exchange!

This is where community members (you!) get to share your ideas on ways we can make this community a great place for you to have product discussions, share best practices, and to connect with community members. Please note: this is only for ideas for the Microsoft Tech Community website, not for other Microsoft products or services.

To keep up to date on all the things we’ve recently released or currently working on, please favorite and/or subscribe to our Community Announcements.

We welcome suggestions on community features, new communities to create, and probably others that we may not have thought of yet!

Please keep ideas constructive. Vague ideas are hard to act on so please provide as much detail as you can.
