One of my drawing files seems to be corrupt. When I try to open it I get the following error message:
INTERNAL ERROR: !dbutil-core2d.cpp@895: eHandleInUse
I tried to RECOVERALL, but am still getting the same message once the drawing finishes recovering and opens. It crashed the first time when I was adding a hatch to something.
I am on AutoCAD 2017

when your drawing is opening , please try one of the below :
-EXPORTTOAUTOCAD and see the exported file if it's ok .
WBLOCK your drawing .
SAVE AS your drawing as dxf format .
hope one of the above make differences .
Regards,
can you insert the dwg-file into a new drawing?
If that does not work can you upload this dwg-file so we can test with it?

opening the drawing shows that it has to be recovered.
Then using command
_RECOVER
shows 5114 defects (using AutoCAD 2023), and defects are listed which sound critical, so I would not trust this file any more, and at least, yes, it fails with the error and I have not found a way to get it working.
Best to do, look for an older version of the file that does not have these issues and restart with that.
@"whoever moved that post" ... this has nothing to do with "Installation and Licensing" where this post now landed. That makes no sense.
