I'm using weston (weston-desktop-shell) on a mobile phone running
Postmarket OS
.
weston-keyboard
is running, and it does show up when tapping on one of the entries in
weston-editor
, but does not when a text-input widget in any other application I've tried so far recieves focus.
I've also tried other virtual keyboards (e.g., matchbox-keyboard) in weston.ini; the result was the keyboard appeared, centered on screen, but did not respond to any widget recieving focus, i.e., as if it was a normal application window.
Looking into weston.log, I find that my devices' physical buttons are recognized as keyboards by libinput (see the attached weston.log, ll. 23-37).
Could that be the cause?
Another theory I have is that this may be related to the small screen size (it's a relatively old mobile phone) and when weston-keyboard appears for weston-editor, it does not manage to fit screen width, only displaying the keys between e and p.
