easy/automatic linux/batocera usage
bringing up a batocera 38/linux mini pc using a HP elite G4. I put this USB network adapter in and the system immediately recognized it and I easily configured the SSID and key. This Wi-Fi adapter immediately connected to my router. It truly could not have been easier.I highly recommend this to anyone using a modern/ recent release of Linux.painless install configuration usage.

bringing up a batocera 38/linux mini pc using a HP elite G4. I put this USB network adapter in and the system immediately recognized it and I easily configured the SSID and key. This Wi-Fi adapter immediately connected to my router. It truly could not have been easier.
I highly recommend this to anyone using a modern/ recent release of Linux. painless install configuration usage. Images in this review I got this, because the wifi adapter in my computer went out a long time ago. I've been using a super long ethernet cable that has been in my way forever. I plugged this in, and immediately was able to connect to the internet from my computer. I'm amazed!

Simple. Works as expected. Again lots of reviews made it sound like I'd have a tonne of headaches with it but plugged it in and immediately started working.
Nice, small, and have decent ping while playing games like CS:GO. Surprised that I could use this and still have acceptable performance when I'm used to directly plugging in via ethernet cable (still a bit slower / less consistent than ethernet but Wifi always is) . For the price I'm quite satisfied and while I think there might be some better options I think for the price this one is about as good as it gets.

The Wifi on my laptop got very flaky after upgrading to Windows 10 so I bought this as a cheap way to get it working again. After much messing around I couldn't get it working though so I contacted Plugable who got back within hours with some sensible non scripted suggestions and requested I used a tool they have to analyse the PCs logs etc. Once they had that they came straight back with the offer of a replacement which I could have got quickly from the UK or with a delay from the US so they could check it before posting. I chose the latter and on arrival, it worked first time.
OK, the first was faulty but this was support at its best, fast responsive and helpful. The replacement works absolutely fine, no problems at all. being compact, I can leave it plugged in the USB port without worrying about it getting caught or breaking off. All in all, I'm very impressed.
