The emphasis for this research is the Siraya tribal "Night Festival" event, where I was responsible for the design and production of the female priest (linibus) traditional clothing for the "Qianqu" ritual. The "Qianqu" ritual is conducted by over 10 female priests forming a circle with two hands in a cross, singing ballads and telling the ancestors’ spirits respectfully with the ancient language, praying for the ancestors to continue protecting the tribal people; it is a significant religious ritual in the tribe. This research project is expected to set out from searching the historical data with the assistance from modern technology, which will be conducted in 4 steps: 1. the collection and embroidering of cross-stitch pattern; 2. the design and 3D simulation (using Gerber pattern-making software to conduct the 2D pattern drawing, and then using the CLO 3D fashion design software to proceed with the simulation for all types of actions, postures, and activities) of the clothing style; 3. integrate the Fancy Designer virtual design software to conduct the immersive experience on the environment and ritual for the tribal "Konkai" (the religious buildings of the Siraya People), to simulate the virtual feelings within the traditional conditions; 4. at last, complete the production of a set of comprehensive cross-stitch female priest prototype clothing.
