Hello,

I am trying to built and install python bindings for deepstream (pyds) on a nvcr.io/nvidia/deepstream:6.0.1-triton container (because, I made some changes to bindings).

I am following these steps.

But, it fails at step 2.3 on this line:

./autogen.sh

I have tried running:
./autogen.sh PYTHON=python,
./autogen.sh PYTHON=python3,
./autogen.sh PYTHON=usr/lib/python,
./autogen.sh PYTHON=usr/lib/python3

None of them worked.
Below is the log:

/opt/nvidia/deepstream/deepstream-6.0/deepstream_python_apps/3rdparty/gst-python# ./autogen.sh
ln: failed to create symbolic link '.git/hooks/pre-commit': Not a directory

My system information:

• Hardware Platform : GPU
• DeepStream Version : 6.0.1
• TensorRT Version : 8.0.1
• NVIDIA GPU Driver Version : 470.103.01

Note that, the issue is still there if don’t make any changes to bindings.

Please, help me with this.

Triton docker is based on ubuntu 20.04, please choose Ubuntu - 20.04 [use python-3.8, python-3.6 will not work] :
to install dependency.

Ubuntu - 18.04 :

apt install -y git python-dev python3 python3-pip python3.6-dev python3.8-dev cmake g++ build-essential \
    libglib2.0-dev libglib2.0-dev-bin python-gi-dev libtool m4 autoconf automake

Ubuntu - 20.04 [use python-3.8, python-3.6 will not work] :

apt install python3-gi python3-dev python3-gst-1.0 python-gi-dev git python-dev \
    python3 python3-pip python3.8-dev cmake g++ build-essential libglib2.0-dev \
    libglib2.0-dev-bin python-gi-dev libtool m4 autoconf automake

After following above instruction, now the make command fails,
