Hi, getting this error in Android Studio.
error: failed linking references.
I have no idea what to look for next. Please help

As David mentioned more context or info might be required for accurate assistance but in the meantime.. lets give you some ideas about this type of errors.
As our world is getting more "digital" than ever, some users are getting more distracted and even forgetting or just don't understanding how technology is helping and affecting their day to day activities.
That being said, let get to the point... You see this because the document you are trying to view or open has a reference (link) to "something" that can't be accessed. This type of error will come usually into place when several conditions are met:
1. There is no internet.
2. The linked object (mail, file, internet page, drive, etc.) can't be reached.
3. You don't have rights to open the file (if this is an internal document, email).
4. The document is corrupted.
For all of the above the you might be able to solve only 1 & 4 on your own... get your internet on and by downloading or getting a new copy of the document. with the other 2 you might need external help.
