Dhanbad Public School has emerged as a shining star on the horizon of educational endeavour. It is set in picturesque surroundings, with the Dhangi Hills in the foreground and lush green fields behind and offers an ideal schooling for children. It is spread over eleven acres of land. The School is a unit of Shiskha Vikas Trust, Dhanbad and is situated on the Dhanbad-Gobindpur Road, near Bhuinphore Mandir, in a pollution free environment, away from the din and bustle of city life. The School has an adequate water supply, modern sanitary arrangement, electric lighting and power. The School aims at the education of children from all communities and prepares girls and boys in separate blocks for the examination conducted by the Central Board of Secondary Education, New Delhi (CBSE), (10+2). The medium of instruction in English. However, Sanskrit is also taught from Std. IV. To give quality education, the school has a knowledgeable, well trained and dedicated staff.

Care and Control" are the two facets of the same coin. Over care may make children  timid and diffident and excess of control may turn  into a rebel. However, that doesn't imply that we should stop caring or controlling them.
Control with a touch of careful observation can help in shaping the children . If we encourage children to adopt appropriate behavioural patterns from early childhood, we will need to spend less time in correcting them at later stage .
Children are the best emulators. They copy their elders and learn maximum from them. Therefore, our conduct should be exemplary . We need to be role models for them.

Swimming Pool, with a filtration plant is well maintained by two pool staff and experienced coaches.

The school has created infrastructure that allows student to play a wide variety of Sports frm Team games like Basketball to individual sports like Chess,Table tennis, badminton,Atheletics, judo etc.

Science Lab

In the well equipped & maintained Chemistry lab, students enjoy the fun of observation and relate with their study package. Experiments done in Chemistry lab help the students to have a deeper insight into the subject and offer an ambience of creativity & invention.
