Ultimate Button-Up Shirt with Eliza

About This Class

Ages: 16+ Level: Intermediate. You must be confident using a sewing machine and sewing garments from patterns. We provide: 18 hours of expert instruction and use of a sewing machine and basic tool kit. You bring: Only yourself to the first session! The instructor will help you select a pattern and fabric to purchase. Registered participants receive 10% off class supplies purchased at Notion. Total instruction time: 18 hours over 6 sessions Make the button-up shirt of your dreams this "ultimate" class. In the first session, you will select a pattern (we'll be working primarily with the Grainline Archer and Thread Theory Fairfield patterns, but if you have another you'd like to use, just bring it to the first class). Then Eliza will help you determine what size to cut, and will offer suggestions on fabrics. You'll then spend five sessions walking through the construction techniques involved in building a well-finished and great fitting shirt. This class's goal is to help you make a shirt you feel good in; it is for ALL bodies and ALL genders. Notion operates on Western Abenaki land. LIABILITY WAIVER I understand that participation in this class/event may include inherently dangerous activities, including but not limited to the use of scissors, rotary cutting blades, pins, needles, and other sharp implements; the use of motorized sewing machines with sharp, fast-moving parts; and the use of hot steam irons and other electrified and/or high-temperature equipment. I agree to exercise appropriate care when participating and to refrain from participating if I am taking medication or am under the influence of any substances with any tendency to affect negatively my motor skills or level of care and attention. I release from all claims, demands, liability, right or causes of action of whatsoever kind and waive my right to sue Notion LLC, their employees, officers, members, and agents from any and all claims in any way connected with any injury, illness (including death), or economic loss I may suffer or which may result from my participation in this class/event. If registering on behalf of a minor child, I acknowledge that I am their parent or legal guardian and agree to their participation and to the above liability waiver on their behalf.
