I bought a quadro P2000, but I can't run it with ANSYS Mechanical.
I installed graphic drivers 451.48 version and CUDA 11.0.1_451.22 version.
I noticed that the recommended GPU in the ANSYS Mechanical solution information were relayed as:
*** FATAL *** CP = 0.141 TIME= 02:00:23
No recommended GPU devices have been detected on machine
DESKTOP-8M82BLQ. Only Tesla-series or Quadro
K6000/M6000/P5000/P6000/GP100/GV100 GPU devices are recommended at
this release. For optimal performance, install a recommended GPU
device in this machine. If you wish to use an alternative GPU device,
please review the recommendations in the section titled "Requirements
for the GPU Accelerator in Mechanical APDL" in the Installation Guide
for your platform.
It was also displaying the following information:
Number of GPUs requested : 1
GPU Acceleration:
NVIDIA Library Requested but not Enabled
GPU Device with ID = 0 is: Quadro P2000
GPU Driver Version: 11.0
CUDA Version: 9.0
So, I was confused whether I have not configured the GPU correctly or ANSYS Mechanical does not work with P2000.

is the list of Tested GPU accelerator cards for computation. As you can see, the Quadro P2000 is not on the list. Did you check this list before you purchased the P2000?

is the list of Tested Graphics cards for display and you can see the Quadro P2000 is on the list. Some people get confused between a GPU for display and a GPU accelerator for computation.
Just because the P2000 is not on the list for supported accelerators does not mean it can't be used, it just means ANSYS did not test and debug with that specific card. There is a setting that allows ANSYS to attempt to use a GPU even though it is not supported. There is a post on this site that describes that setting. I found it and the link is below...
Either of the methods did not help. Any other help will be highly appreciated.

It seems the statement highlighted above is the main cause of the problem but I could not work it out.
Also, I have updated the driver of graphics card and also the cuda version.
Thanks everyone, adding a system environment variable with ANSGPU_OVERRIDE and value =1 seems to have done the trick. However the GPU utilization was limited and it still took much time. I found out that the GPU was on WDDM mode and for optimal performance it had to be switched to TCC mode, but the GPU used for display couldn't be switched to TCC mode. So, I had to insert an old GPU just for the display such that the quadro GPU could be switched to TCC mode. Now, it seems to work pretty well.
