As a multimodal imaging platform, SPECTRALIS ® offers the ability to combine OCTA with structural OCT, confocal scanning laser imaging, and dye-based angiography in a single device to facilitate comprehensive clinical assessment and efficient patient care.

The SPECTRALIS ® OCTA Module with SHIFT technology delivers high-resolution OCTA images with a lateral resolution of 5.7 μm/pix at a scan speed of 125 kHz or 85 kHz.

With a speed-quality ratio optimized for OCTA and combined with TruTrack Active Eye Tracking, the preset scan speed of 125kHz helps you visualize blood flow in fine capillaries while avoiding artefacts due to natural eye motion.

The axial resolution of 3.9 μm/ pixel allows for segmentation of all four histologicallyvalidated retinal vascular plexuses. Custom slabs within the superficial and deep vascular plexuses offer a more comprehensive clinical evaluation.

The projection artifact removal (PAR) tool utilizes information from the superficial vascular plexus to remove artefacts from OCTA images. This enables a more precise visualization of vascular structure and pathology.

Heidelberg Engineering continuously optimizes imaging and healthcare IT technologies to provide ophthalmic diagnostic solutions that empower clinicians to improve patient care. From its inception in 1990, the company has collaborated with scientists, clinicians and industry to develop innovative products that deliver clinically relevant benefits.

Uncompromising quality and education play a large part in fostering the diagnostic confidence that has become synonymous with the global brand. The company's substantial expertise in the development and implementation of intelligent image and data management solutions complements its distinguished history in the design, manufacture and distribution of ophthalmic diagnostic instruments.

Heidelberg Engineering's growing product portfolio combines these core technologies: confocal microscopy, scanning lasers and optics, optical coherence tomography (OCT), real-time image processing and analytics, multimodal image management solutions (PACS), electronic medical records (EMR) and large-scale data analysis.
