Lau Wang Claypot Delights
first started as a small stall in Yishun and has come a long way since. We’ve grown from a humble coffee shop stall to a full-fledged food shop in Serangoon back in 2012 (now defunct), and now you can savor our delectable claypot dishes in multiple spots across Singapore.
Each claypot dish is prepared using a traditional recipe and a distinctive claypot-cooking technique. This guarantees that every dish is not only freshly prepared but also served piping hot to every customer, remaining warm right through the entire meal. Our signatures include ‘Sesame Oil Chicken’ and ‘Ngoh Hiang’, which have become staples in every customer’s visit to the store.
Lau Wang Claypot’s remarkable growth journey from its modest beginnings has made it a prominent culinary destination for communities in Serangoon, Punggol, Tampines, Singpost Centre, Bugis+, and now Pasir Ris.
Following a highly successful brand refresh in 2022 which aims to resonate with the younger generations, Lau Wang launched a brand extension –
Lau Wang Claypot Legacy
. The brand offers a culinary twist to its classic dishes, using premium ingredients and presented in a more refined setting. The inaugural outlet is located at One Holland Village.
I’ve been returning to the stall ever since. Piping hot and still bubbling when it’s served, having just rice with the sesame chicken sauce suffices.

The Sliced Fish Soup comes with a generous portion of fish, but more adventurous diners may want to try pig liver and kidney for more supposed health benefits.

Each piece of crowd favourite sesame chicken burst with the nuttiness of sesame oil. The thick gravy is best savoured over a bowl of white rice.
