COAST (Cutler Bay Ocean Academy of Science and Technology)
strives to create the next generation of environmental stewards through practical application and exposure to Florida’s unique coastal environments.
Students engage with Florida's ecology through a partnership with the Deering Estate N.E.S.T.T. program. Students have the opportunity to conduct experiments, research, learn about biodiversity and environmental sustainability at Deering Estate at least once a month. COAST students' educational experiences also include shark tagging, camping, kayaking, boating, snorkeling, nature walks, beach clean ups, and other exciting water related activities.
It is important to note that all students

pass a MDCPS

in order to participant in water related activities.
