The WSIS+20 Forum High-Level Event 2024, co-hosted by the International Telecommunication Union and the Swiss Confederation, served as a pivotal platform for reviewing the progress, achievements, challenges, and opportunities arising from the WSIS follow-up process since the inception of the Geneva Plan of Action in 2003. The WSIS+20 Forum High-Level Event 2024 took place from 27-31 May 2024, at the International Conference Centre Geneva (CICG), and ITU Headquarters in Geneva with enhanced remote participation. The WSIS+20 Forum High-Level Event 2024 gathered high-ranking officials of the WSIS Stakeholder community, representing the Government, Private Sector, Civil Society, Academia, Technical Community, and International Organizations. On Monday, May 27, the appointment of the Chair for the WSIS+20 Forum High-Level Event 2024 took place. A publication titled "WSIS+20 Forum High-Level Event 2024: High-Level Outcomes and Executive Brief" was issued to summarize the multistakeholder discussions and outcomes of the event.
