PRTS is convinced that the Scriptures of the Old and New Testaments as originally written are God’s inerrant Word inspired by His Spirit and therefore are the only, sufficient, and infallible authority for faith and practice.

With the Spirit’s blessing and help, PRTS is dedicated to serving Christ and His kingdom by teaching its graduates to articulate confessional Reformed theology on exegetical, biblical, and theological grounds.

Confessional

PRTS embraces and upholds the Reformed faith as embodied in the Three Forms of Unity and Westminster Standards. As each faculty member subscribes these confessions, it is to be expected that all instruction accord with these confessional standards.

Experiential

PRTS especially values the need for experiential preaching. By this we mean Christ-centered preaching that stresses sinners must have a personal, experiential, Spirit-worked knowledge of Christ, and by extension, all the great truths of Scripture.
