Easily unsend an email you’ve just sent, schedule messages to be sent whenever you like, and get reminders to follow up or come back to a message later. ¹ You can also add rich links so your email has even more details at a glance. And if you forget to include an attachment or a recipient, Mail will catch those mistakes and ask if you want to add what’s missing. ²

iCloud Shared Photo Library

Share photos and videos seamlessly with up to five other people, so everyone can collaborate on the family’s collection and enjoy more complete memories. With iCloud Shared Photo Library, family memories are in one place for everyone to enjoy at any time, even if you’re not the one who snapped the shot or edited the photo.

Apple silicon enables every new Mac to play demanding games, and Metal 3 provides powerful features that help developers take their games to the next level. ¹² MetalFX Upscaling helps games render complex scenes with increased frame rates for a highly responsive feel and breathtaking visuals. Metal 3 also adds a new fast resource loading API to minimise game loading.

Weather.

Click forecast modules for details about air quality, local forecasts and more. Get hourly forecasts for the next 10 days, with minute-by-minute precipitation intensity over the next hour. And receive government notifications about severe weather events like heat waves, winter storms, flash floods and more.

Reminders.

Save, create or share lists as templates to reuse them for routine tasks, packing lists and more. Pin your favourite lists for easy access. Today and Scheduled Lists now group items by time and date, making it easier to view and add reminders. And an all‑new Completed Smart List lets you view all your completed reminders in one place, along with details like the time they were completed.

Home.

The redesigned Home app makes it easier to navigate, organise and view your smart home accessories in one place, and updates to the underlying architecture make it more efficient and reliable. ¹⁴ Support for the Matter home connectivity standard lets you choose and connect even more smart home accessories. ¹⁵

Undo send is available for 30 seconds after sending. Select the duration under the Composing setting.

Testing conducted by Apple in September 2022 using JetStream 2.1, MotionMark 1.2, and Speedometer 2.1 performance benchmarks. Tested with pre‐release Safari 16.1 and latest stable versions of Chrome, Microsoft Edge and Firefox at the time of testing on: 13‑inch MacBook Pro systems with Apple M2 and pre‑release macOS Ventura, and Intel Core i7-based PC systems with Intel Iris Xe Graphics and Windows 11 Pro; iPad Pro 12.9‐inch (5th generation) units with pre‑release iPadOS 16.1, and Intel Core i7‑based PC systems with Intel Iris Xe Graphics and Windows 11 Pro; and iPhone 13 Pro Max with pre‑release iOS 16.1, and Qualcomm Snapdragon 8 Gen 1–based smartphones with Android 12. Devices tested with a WPA2 Wi‑Fi network connection. Performance will vary based on usage, system configuration, network connection and other factors.

Testing conducted by Apple in September 2022 on production 13-inch MacBook Pro systems with Apple M1, 8GB of RAM, 256GB SSD and pre‐release macOS Ventura. Systems tested with WPA2 Wi‑Fi network connection while running on battery power with display brightness set to 8 clicks from bottom or 50%. Multi-tab web browsing battery life and video streaming battery life (1080p on Safari, 720p on other browsers) compared using pre‐release Safari 16.1, Chrome v105.0.5195.102, Microsoft Edge v105.0.1343.33 and Firefox v104.0.1. Performance will vary based on system configuration, application workload and other factors.

Users can edit a message for up to 15 minutes after sending it and can unsend a message for up to 2 minutes after sending it. Users can make up to 5 edits to a given message. Recipients will be able to see a record of edits made to the message.

The new Home architecture is a separate update in the Home app, and will be available in a software update later this year. It requires all Apple devices that access the home to be using the latest software. Sharing control of your home and receiving Home notifications require a home hub. Only Apple TV and HomePod are supported as home hubs.

Matter accessories require a home hub, such as an Apple TV or HomePod device.
