Today, as part of Carelon Behavioral Health, Carelon Behavioral Health of California makes up part of the largest privately held MBHO in the nation, created by merging together ValueOptions Inc. and Beacon Health Strategies, in 2014. Proudly serving members since 1991, Carelon Behavioral Health of California was originally established under the name American PsychManagement of California, Inc. following licensure as a Knox-Keene plan in December 1990, and offers behavioral health care service plan products and employee assistance programs to large employers and health plans throughout the State of California.
