File structure for the outgoing provider pre- and post-deadline extracts for the Mental Health Services Data Set (MHSDS). Once a provider has submitted a successful file and it has been processed, a pre-deadline extract can be downloaded to show what data would be carried forward if this was the final submission. Further processing is later required to produce the post-deadline extracts (this takes place after the submission deadline). Following post-deadline processing (once the submission window has closed), the SDCS Cloud generates a post-deadline extract for providers, which contains the elements of their data taken into data storage plus additional derivations from the submitted data. This release defines the format of the post-deadline extract that providers receive for valid version 6.0 submissions post the submission deadline. This extract XML Schema aligns with the MHSDS Enhanced Technical Output Specification version 6.0.2 Post deadline extracts in this format are expected to be made available following end of month processing of the April performance data, this is expected to be a couple of days after the submission window closes on the 17 June 2024. The included production log contains separate tabs to show changes to previous preview release (Release 6.0.0.4 Preview 1) and changes to current production release (Release 5.0.42). This release defines the format of the pre-deadline extract that providers receive for version 6.0 submissions that pass file-level validation. Pre-deadline extracts in this format are expected to be made available once the data set has gone live in April, and once data starts to flow. This will therefore most likely be in May 2024 (exact date tbc). This extract XML Schema aligns with the MHSDS Enhanced Technical Output Specification version 6.0.1. The included production log contains separate tabs to show changes to previous preview release (Release 6.0.0.4 Preview 1) and changes to current production release (Release 5.0).

This extract XML Schema aligns with the MHSDS Technical Output Specification version 5.0.42 and includes new data items to reflect Integrated Care Boards (ICBs). All extracts from July 2022 reporting period onwards will be re-run and will contain the populated ICB and Sub-ICB fields. The 5.0.42 Schema should be used for any extracts from the re-run July 2022 reporting period onwards. This release defines the format of the post-deadline extract that providers receive for valid version 5.0 submissions post the submission deadline. Post-deadline extracts in this format will be sent up to and including the June 2022 reporting period . After that date use the updated 5.0.42 Schema to see re-issued files for July 2022 data onwards, that contain the new data items to reflect Integrated Care Boards. This release defines the format of the pre-deadline extract that providers receive for version 5.0 submissions that pass file-level validation. Extracts in this format are expected to begin 1 December 2021.
