General Availability (GCC): We will start rolling out late June 2024 and expect to complete by early July 2024.

General Availability (GCC High): We will start rolling out mid-July 2024 and expect to complete by late July 2024.

How this will affect your organization:

Before this rollout, Teams Rooms devices configured to join third-party meetings could not join any third-party meetings with an ID and passcode.

If you have not enabled Teams Rooms devices in your organization to join third-party meetings or if you have enabled them to only join Webex meetings, this rollout will not impact you.

If you have enabled Teams Rooms on Android devices in your organization to join Zoom meetings, this rollout will impact you.

After this rollout, users will have the option to choose between Teams or Zoom meetings when they tap Join with an ID in their Teams Rooms console. Teams is the default option. After tapping Zoom , users can enter a meeting ID and passcode and then tap Join . If the meeting ID and passcode are valid, the room will join a Zoom meeting. If the meeting ID or passcode are incorrect, the room will try to join the meeting, fail, and come back to the Teams Rooms experience, where the user can enter the correct ID and passcode.

The default state of this feature is off.
