I am having issues getting the USB output to work on my new Node. The controller recognizes my DAC (Benchmark DAC 3) and goes into fixed volume output mode while showing a solid blue light on the top of the Node, but no signal seems to be transmitting to the DAC. The DAC is set up in USB 2.0 mode but not receiving music from the Node. Also, every few minutes the Node will go into a red light, flashing green light, back to solid blue light sequence and the app will stall.
The optical output seems to be working normally but the whole reason for updated to the latest Node was to be able to use the USB output. Any ideas or suggestions??
This is basically the outcome of of the support crew “taking a closer look” (in fairness it was back in May this year but nothing has changed for my compatibility with Hegel H95.)
“…from other customers requests that we have received and after investigating various DAC's, there are some that continue to encounter issues with USB Output…
In your case, it's strongly advised that you contact Hegel support directly for guidance/firmware upgrade to better support USB output.

I’m sorry I’ve lost the email but essentially Hegel’s response was that they do fully support USB. It is Bluesound that does not “better support USB”
Where does the truth sit. Dunno. It’s out there…. somewhere
Same issue here. Node connected to Benchmark DAC 3 does not have any output. It identifies the Benchmark DAC 3 HGC as a Benchmark DAC 2 and I get nothing coming out of it. Connected the same node to a Ayre Codex DAC and it plays. I have to say that the coaxial output sounded a lot nicer in the same setup, The sound from the USB output sounds a lot brighter than the coaxial output(go figure). The Ayre is connected to a VAC Sigma 170iq connected to a Harbeth 30.2 XD...so there is nothing bright in this system.
