In our previous
release
,we wrote about GSTN's proposed 7-day time limit to report e-invoices to the IRP. The time limit was originally scheduled to be enforced in May 2023, however GSTN has postponed its enforcement to give taxpayers more time to comply.
The Indian Goods and Services Network (GSTN) has recently released an updated
notification
regarding the reporting timeline for e-invoices to the IRP. With effect from November 1, 2023, taxpayers with an annual turnover of Rs 100 crores must send e-invoices to the IRP within 30 days of invoice issuance. All types of documents will be subject to this requirement, including invoices, debit notes, and credit notes.
